That's why I prefer cash, at least until I decide to give in and go back with one of the big banks. My card works everywhere in the USA but overseas in Europe and Latin America it's hit-or-miss even at some restaurants. that making the exchange at the Mexico City airport will get you the most favorable rate. I just don't want to have that happen again and especially in Mexico. I was stranded 2 months ago in Medellin, Colombia because I was just going to use my debit card at the ATM machine in the airport and they had 4 machines and none of them accepted my card. The issue is that I travel around the world all the time and it's hit-or-miss being able to have an ATM machine that will accept my card (we dont even have a chip for our debit cards). I don't like the fees that are associated with the big banks like Bank of America and other mainstream banks, so the only debit card that I have is with my credit union which has great interest rates and there is no maintenance fees, unlike when I was with Bank of America. They are located at: Terminal 1, by Gates 1 and 8, T1 Gate 1 Tel: (55) 2598 16 60. The main reason is that I only have 1 debit account open and it's with a small credit union. Luggage storage facilities operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
